Are you ready for the dumbest short romantic comedy of your life featuring more characters than Fairy Tail?!
Well, it doesn’t have more Characters than Fairy Tail but Tsuredure children (or Tsurezure children) follows the lives of various romantic couples looking to or starting a realtionship and I’m going to give you the top 3 reasons and the top 3 relationships you should be watching in this hilarious romantic comedy. Lemme just go open the Wikipedia article so I know what the characters names are…
By the way I’ve limited it to the top 3 because whilst there’s a lot of couples on this show there’s only actually around 8 and only 5-6 of those actually get a decent amount of screen time so! Also I don’t wanna spoil too much but because I wanna talk about specific couples there will be spoilers.
Akagi and Kaji
This couple is actually the first couple I saw on the show because these two had a clip that went over my Facebook and is the reason i started watching it! Akagi is the student council president and he comes on, rather strong with the Delinquent Kaji when he finds her smoking. This scene is rather hilarious and sets up these characters nicely. The dialouge in this show is really well written and the comedic lines are delivered rather well (Both Japanese and English). If you’ve ever wandered how the school council president and the schools most well known delinquent would get on in a relationship. This show has got you covered!
Kana and Chiaki
I love these two. If you want a couple with a natural chemistry and a rather compelling and interesting arc then these two are definitely worth watching. Their entire gag is that their relationship can’t progress because they play make believe scenarios like 4 year olds to either get a laugh out of each other or offset the awkwardness of being a teenager in love. Even when their romantic failings aren’t of their own vollitions a scenario always happens to screw them both over and it’s hilarious. They easily have what might be the funniest moment in the series that always gets a laugh out of me on every rewatch.
Takano and Suguwara
Oh boy, I love these two. Takano is a girl who considers herself unfun and rather derpessing for people around her. Suguwara is a guy that simply has a crush on Takano and quite enjoys her presence. I especially like these two because of the dynamic they share and specifically the character arc that Takano goes through. She starts off considering herself completely unable to date someone, dissmissing any sign Suguwara gives that he is interested in her. As the series progresses she eventually actually begins to consider the possability and there’s subtle changes in how she views herself. Even if their relationship doesn’t work out then this is a really important thing to watch. We’re taught a lot that we shouldn’t get our self value from others but I don’t think it’s a bad thing to show that the care and interest of others can actually improve our self worth. I like this even more because it’s not totally hamfisted in your face. I haven’t talked about Suguwara that much but I have to say that his actually pretty adorable and their whole dynamic of being shy to each other is well done to make the comedy in the right place but never impedes on their potential connection or relationship. The fact that Takano missinterprets everything that comes out of Takano’s mouth is actually quite sweet and always managed to get a giggle out of me.
But what do you think, Are you gonna watch the show or have you already? let us know on twitter!
