Top 6 Anime on Funimation Now!

I’ve done Crunchyroll, I’ve done Netflix and now I’m finally completing the trilogy! My Top 6 available Anime on Funimation Now! I’m going to make a rule that all shows on here are shows I’ve only watched through Funimation and are watching the Dub for! So here we go!

6 – Yuri!! On ICE

Yuri!! On ICE was something I did not expect to go into and enjoy as much as I did, I was harassed to watch it for weeks before I finally gave in to and honestly… I was on the edge of my seat for the entire show! Yuri on Ice is a show about an international ice skating competition with some beautiful music and compositions across the show. I don’t want to say much more about it other than if you’re into sports anime then you definitely want to give this one a go!

5 – Assassination Classroom

Ever wanted to kill your teacher? Ever wanted to be taught by an octopus monster? Well, Assassination Classroom deals with this one with ease! This show was gripping, exciting and hilarious and definitely a good show worth watching over on Funimation Now!

4 – Attack on Titan: Junior High

It’s Attack on Titan but with the whole series redesigned around school kids and the Titans steal lunches…. Yeah, that’s it and it’s hilarious! The show has some really insane laugh out loud moments I’d definitely recommend!

3 – D.Gray-Man

D.Gray-man is one of my favorite shows of all time, as an action anime with some insanely dark undertones. The show follows Allen Walker a member of the Black Order of Exorcists and their fight against the Millenium Earl and his Akuma. The show is exciting and incredibly well written. It’s sad the manga remains unfinished but I highly recommend starting this hype train!

2 – Guilty Crown

Guilty Crown is a show I like more from an artistic point than I do a narrative point, the music is beautiful, the story whilst not perfect is definitely engaging and interesting and the visuals and scenes are quite frankly fantastic. The shows core plot also has some very interesting concepts behind it as well! I definitely recommend this show, I’m not going to say too much about it other than this.

1 – My Hero Academia

This show is the best shonen show I have ever watched. I quite like superhero stories, from the MCU to whatever DC’s doing with their films and even anime like One-Punch Man or Mob Psycho 100. There’s just something good about a show that’s all about kicking ass and saving the day. My Hero Academia is about a world of superheroes and villains, referred to as the superhuman society. Our protagonist is Izuku Midoriya, one of the few people in this world with no superpower, from an early age to now he’s been obsessed with super powers and one superhero in-particular: All Might, the symbol of peace. The show follows Midoriya as he goes from super zero to an all-mighty hero. The show is smart, well-paced and honestly exciting. Honestly, I want to write a lot more about this show and why I think it’s the best show this year. The Dub is also on par with the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood dub in terms of quality, this show is fantastic and I will continue recommending it. Plus Ultra!

That concludes this trilogy! I probably won’t do anymore anime lists for the rest of the year because I’m going to end up repeating certain shows (Like I’ve not already started).
