Customising Your Body: Piercings

Hey guys, I decided to continue the ‘Customising Your Body’ article and turn it into a trilogy, making this the second part. So! Here is goes.

Society has various impressions and opinions on people who have piercings; whether they are approved by the public or if they’re appropriate for the work place.

Many people believe that facial piercings are “chavy” or make individuals look almost “scary”. There’s a lot of segregation with piercings, even today, especially with facial segregation.

Personally, I wouldn’t have facial piercings due to the fact that it’s just not me. It’s just not something I would do, but everyone is different and that’s okay. I feel like people should be able to wear what they want, and express themselves the way they want to.

I understand that some piercings may not be appropriate for the working environment, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get it at all! Remember you can always take them out at work! (But remember to put them back in – I never do!)

Either way, if you want piercings, then you should get them.

You are your own person, and nobody else’s opinion matters at all. Your body is your temple, and you can decorate it however you like!

Like I’ve said before, whether you’re male, female or gender fluid, you are not be defined by how you express yourselves through your body. Not by me anyway.

This is me, signing off!
