Hair care routine for dry hair

I tend to get quite lazy with my hair. I wash it, I let it dry and that’s it. But my hair has always been very dry, and since I bleached my hair a while ago, it has been extra dry lately. So, it’s save to say that my hair could use a bit more attention and in particular a bit more moisture. So in this post, I’m going to show you what I do on days where I want to treat my hair a bit more.

Firstly, about an hour before I wash my hair, I put in this Yves Rocher oil all over my hair. This oil is especially made to put in your hair before you wash it. It contains jojoba oil, macadamia oil. It moisturizes your hair, and leaves it feeling soft. This is the Yves Rocher Botanical Hair Care Hair Repair Oil. Sometimes, when I wash my hair in the morning, I put the oil in in the evening.

After an hour and a half, I let the water run and jumped under the shower. I used the Dove Intensive Repair shampoo and conditioner. It’s nothing really extraordinary, but I’ve used these products before and they do the job.

I also use the Aussie Luscious Long 3 Minute Miracle mask. I don’t always put this in my hair, but when I really want to treat my locks, I do use this, and I do see a difference. My hair ends up feeling a lot softer.

When I step out of the shower, the first thing I do is put my hair in a towel. I let that sit for a few minutes, so most of the water gets absorbed. I don’t rub my hair, as that can damage your hair. My hair has a wavy texture, so I can’t really comb it when it’s dry, or I look like a sheep. I ordered this Hema shower brush, it works the same as a Wet Brush, it’s just a lot cheaper. I brushed my hair upside down, because I don’t rub my hair with a towel, it can still be a bit wet. I hate the feeling of wet clothes, so I put a towel on the floor and brush it upside down. Then I put some argan oil in my hair, you won’t be able to get this exact one, but I’ve heard a lot of great things about this one.

After that I put my hair up in a high ponytail, and let it dry.

To style my hair, I used the Syoss Curl Control when my hair was about 85% dry. The following day I use the Yves Rocher curl spray, or a sea salt spray.

I must say, my hair feels really soft right now! What is your holy grail hair product? Let us know!
