The summer season has already been here for a while. Now I’m not that kind of person who’s always in the sun, most of the time you’ll find me inside. However, it’s still important to protect your skin, body and face. For my body I use whatever I can find. My skin is a whole other story. My skin is very sensitive to this kind of product, it gives me really bad acne. I had a moisturizer with SPF 10 in it, but that’s not enough to protect your skin against the sun.
Sunscreen is way to greasy for my skin, which means I’m covered in spots in no time. At that point you have to make a choice, and my choice has always been not to use sunscreen, and to just do it with the SPF from my moisturizer. That was not enough, besides, when your skin burns, it produces more tallow/sebum (?), which also gives you more spots.
My skin has been really bad lately, so I went on the hunt for new skin care. I’ll write a post about the other products when I’ve used them a little while longer. But I do want to tell you a bit more about one of the products I bought. Yes, you’ve guessed it: I bought a sunscreen.
Here in Belgium, you can only get products from La Roche Posay and Vichy in the pharmacy. So I went there to get a new moisturizer. The one I bought didn’t have any SPF, so I asked her if she had somthing suitable for my skin. She gave me a new product from Vichy. So I went home with the Vichy Idéal Soleil SPF 30, mattifying corrective care. This sunscreen targets blemishes, pores and is anti-shine. I didn’t really pay atention tot his. But I did notice that it didn’t gave me extra spots, and my skin calmed down a bit, this is due to the Salicylic acid in it.
Everybody knows why you have to protect your skin against the sun. I already said that a sunburn can cause more acne, so that makes it extra important to use sunscreen. This sunscreen protects your skin and fights your acne. How can it get any better? I’m a fan! You can order this sunscreen here for £11.00.
